JUST 2 GALS GRABBING BACK.
CREATING THEATRE TO AMPLIFY FEMXLE VOICES.
The gals met whilst studying Drama at Trinity College in Dublin and both ended up in London working as actors. Many glasses (or bottles) of wine have been shared over tales of the ridiculous and very much gendered issues in our chosen industry. Over the years this passion turned to anger. Anger about how womxn are represented in our own field and anger about how commonplace this is in every day society. We decided to make their voices heard in the best way we knew how and as if by magic, 2Gal was born. We want to use this platform to share our stories and the stories of others to create theatre that shines a light on how normalised misogyny and gendered silencing are. And so, we are learning from great womxn to pull up a folding chair and use that anger.

We want to send our thoughts and love to you all during these uncertain times. Things are difficult for absolutely everyone right now and it is so important that we are kind to ourselves and only do as much as we are able to, allowing ourselves time to think, feel, and RELAX.
2Gal will be using this time to continue scratching that glass ceiling and making the work we love, but we also want to do what we can for those in need. There are thousands of people working around the clock to help the people most affected, but they can only do this with the support of their local communities. So many worthy causes out there need donations. We want to use this platform to raise funds our local baby bank, Little Village.
Little Village is a charity that provides free good quality baby clothes and equipment, donated by local families, to local families that need them. (basically...a food bank but for all things baby!). These families need their support now more than ever. Whether it's 50p or £50, every bit counts. So, if you are able (and we understand not everyone is!!), please visit out Just Giving page and GIVE, GIVE, GIVE!!!
If you can't give any money right now, please help us support their important work by sharing our Just Giving page on social media.
